Pocket filters and EX Protect filters
Pocket filters are used in HVAC applications as pre-filters, medium filters and final filters, depending on the type of pocket filter and the filter material in question.
Pocket filter frames are generally made of plastic or galvanised steel and are 25 mm in thickness. The filtration medium may be synthetic fibre/PES or a combination of PP and PES. Pocket filters can be used to remove both larger dust particles and fine particles, and are even effective as pre-filters for clean room filtration systems.
Pocket filters are typified by small size, variety of surface type, and wide choice of model. Thanks to their structure and incorporated filter media, they have a high dust retention capacity. One of their most important features is the number of pockets, which generally ranges between 5 and 12. The filtration surface grows with the number of pockets, and may even exceed 10 m².
In the standard-sized pocket filters commonly used in industry, the pockets are stitched or welded to provide spacing. Besides the usual sizes, filters may also be produced and purchased in unique sizes.

EX PROTECT filters – explosion-proof pocket filters
Explosion proof pocket filters (EX PROTECT filters) are pre-filters and fine-filters used in the HVAC systems of premises, buildings and halls where there is risk of explosion, such as gas distribution centres, chemical laboratories, chemical plants and pharmaceutical works.
Frames for these filters are made of galvanised metal, filtration being done by a mixture of metal fibres and synthetic material. In today's modern options, the filter textile itself comprises several layers, with pre-filter, fine filter and nonwoven components. This combination of filter textiles ensures a small pressure drop and a high dust retention capacity.
The synthetic layer mixed with metal fibres causes the filter to become electrostatically charged, so the appliance is earthed via the filter housing, either with an earthing lead, an earthing pin or through the frame.
Our filters are both ATEX certified for explosive atmospheres
nd TÜV certified in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC.
