Metal-framed filter panels

Filter panels with frames of metal or other materials are used primarily in ventilation technology for filtering air and trapping grease and oil mist.The structure of metal-framed filter plates is reasonably simple: the air filtration is performed by an optimised filter medium or material held in a metal frame of standard or customised size. Standard-sized frames enable the use of framed filters in all types of air filtration technology equipment.The basic model has a steel or galvanised steel frame, but panels with other frames such as paper, waterproof cardboard or plastic can also be supplied.The filter insert on the metal-framed model can be replaced multiple times, as the lifespan of the frame is many times that of the insert. If a panel filter with a disposable frame is required, we recommend the paper-framed model.

Besides the size of a metal-framed panel filter, the following parameters should also be considered: airflow (m3/h); pressure drop (Pa); filter surface area (m2); heat resistance (°C); filter class; nominal airflow (m3/h/m2); and efficiency (%).

In theory, any type of filter medium or material that can be inserted into the frame and do the job as required can be used for the panel filter cartridge, including synthetic polyester, glass fibre, micro glass fibre filter paper, Z-line filter, or metal mesh for grease and oil traps.
Metal mesh filter cassettes are used first and foremost for oil mist separation and in kitchen exhaust hoods for trapping grease. Metal mesh filter cassettes can withstand heat and chemical stress. They can be cleaned and reused multiple times.
